A newsletter for NettyRoyal?

6 Comments on A newsletter for NettyRoyal?

Recently I have been thinking about creating a newsletter for NettyRoyal. Oldfashioned, a friend of mine with computer knowledge commented. On the other hand one can subscribe to the newsletters of History of Royal Women and (since recently) The Court Jeweller. So there seems to be a market for it.

Yesterday, with a bit of help of my host Brinkhost.IT I uploaded a plug-in for a newsletter and tried it out on one of my own emailaddresses. It worked perfectly, although I still need to do some research. Myself I was thinking about creating a newsletter just to sent subscribers the updates for my blog over a period of two weeks or a month. That might also include posts that weren’t sent as an update to email subscribers, because I just updated an old article.

I am not going to create a newsletter full of news, but remarks by a British follower made me think what else I could include. He mentioned upcoming royal events, royal palaces, maybe a contest/competition, profiles of royals round Europe? I preferably would post most things he mentioned on the blog itself, but I see the point in adding a few more features to the newsletter than just blog-updates. Or maybe highlight a feature of the blog?

I would really love to know what you all think of it. And if anyone has an idea to make it more interesting than just the newest blog posts, I’d be more than grateful.

Anyway, I have been creative yesterday and created a new logo for the site. I used a crown found on Pixabay, where they say you can use the pictures, etc. for free. I hope you do like it, as I am just an amateur regarding to these kind of things. But I think it looks really nice.

To my mind, one NettyRoyal outlet suffices. But of course I would subscribe to any royal communication that you produce, particularly if it includes biographical profiles.
